22 December, 2023AFMEC held a new board meeting in November, this time in Madrid, taking advantage of the fact that many members of the association participated in or visited the ADVANCED MANUFACTURING MADRID trade fair. At the end of the meeting, a visit was made to IVECO, where the companies had the opportunity to see the facilities of a world reference in truck manufacturing.
The Board of Directors approved the
2024 management plan, a plan with a powerful battery of activities, among which the following actions stand out:
- Group participation in the BIEMH and ADVANCED MANUFACTURING MADRID trade fairs.
- B2B meetings at both events.
- The new sector catalog, which will be published at the beginning of the year and will include the capabilities of all AFMEC members.
- Factory Tours to visit leading companies in areas of interest.
- Webinars to learn about the subcontracting needs of tractor companies.
- Approach to the German market by organizing activities with agents in the country.
- Technical training catalog in virtual format, through the Virtual Machining Classroom.
- Preparation of biannual reports on the sector's situation.
- Support to companies in their digitalization processes.
- Attention to technical queries from potential customers.
AFMEC continues to grow, currently
has 191 associated companies and will hold its annual assembly on May 17, at the Kursaal in San Sebastian.
