13 March, 2026Bronymec is developing a specific plan to promote the adoption of additive manufacturing in the railway sector, building on the industrial maturity of current technologies and the improvement of regulatory requirements applicable to polymer materials. The combination of newly certified materials, such as PA12 FR, together with the technological consolidation of HP Multi Jet Fusion, is expanding opportunities for railway components that have traditionally depended on conventional manufacturing processes.
The company highlights that these advances enable the production of parts that comply with fire behaviour requirements according to the EN45545 standard, broadening application possibilities in railway interiors and functional components. Bronymec already supplies PA12 FR parts for various applications in the railway sector, achieving satisfactory results in terms of strength, dimensional stability and repeatability.
As part of this initiative, Bronymec has launched a Railway Scaling Plan, aimed at accelerating the adoption of additive manufacturing among a larger number of rolling stock manufacturers. The company is offering a limited number of pilot projects under favourable conditions to support design validation and initial production, facilitating the transition towards medium and large production series compatible with additive technologies.
Through this initiative, Bronymec reinforces its position as a specialised provider of advanced additive manufacturing solutions, bringing precision, technical reliability and a competitive alternative for complex-geometry components to the railway industry.
