29 October, 2025Factor has incorporated Hexagon Scan+ technology into its quality department, strengthening its dimensional verification capabilities and reducing measurement times. The upgrade of its Global Lite CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) allows a transition from point-to-point probing to continuous scanning, capturing hundreds of points per second with greater precision and reliability.
According to Mónica Grau, the company’s Quality and Environment Director, “this advancement enables us to offer our clients an even faster and more comprehensive dimensional control service, even for highly complex parts. Precision is an essential part of our identity, and this new technology reinforces our commitment to continuous improvement.”
Thanks to this addition, Factor has quadrupled its measurement speed for certain components and expanded its capacity with a second, larger-bed CMM designed for large-format parts. This dual infrastructure allows for cross-verification and ensures complete traceability in every project.
The new system also facilitates the generation of point clouds and CAD comparisons, improving reliability in process capability studies (Cp/Cpk) and deviation detection. With this investment, Factor strengthens its commitment to quality and positions itself as a benchmark in advanced metrology within the precision manufacturing ecosystem.
