FERROLOIU STRENGTHENS ITS PRODUCTION CAPACITY WITH TWO NEW OVERHEAD CRANES AND A PRESS

Ferroloiu has installed two new overhead cranes at its Loiu plant, expanding its material handling and movement capabilities. The new equipment has lifting capacities of 12.5 tonnes and 3.2 tonnes, complementing the two existing 16-tonne overhead cranes already operating at the facility.

This investment will improve the agility and flexibility of its production processes by optimising loading, unloading and component handling operations. The new 3.2-tonne crane is particularly noteworthy, as it offers higher lifting speeds and will help increase efficiency in certain production tasks.

The company has also expanded its component flattening and straightening capacity with the addition of a new 150-tonne press, which will enable lighter components to be processed more quickly. This equipment supplements Ferroloiu’s existing 700-tonne press, further increasing its overall flattening capacity.

Specialising in the cutting of steel plate ranging from 6 to 320 mm in thickness, Ferroloiu continues to improve its production equipment with the aim of strengthening its operational capacity and providing an increasingly efficient service to its customers.

With these new additions, the company is reinforcing the infrastructure of its Bizkaia plant and continuing its commitment to the continuous improvement of its industrial processes.
