LEKOIZPE ADDS STATE-OF-THE-ART CNC LATHE TO ENHANCE MACHINING CAPACITY FOR COMPLEX PARTS

The Biscayan company LEKOIZPE, specialized in boiler making and custom part machining, has recently added the “PUMA 5100 LYB” CNC lathe to its machinery fleet—a high-performance machine designed for medium and long production runs with demanding precision and versatility requirements.

Manufactured by DN Solutions, the new lathe offers a turning capacity of up to 550 mm in diameter and a maximum length of 2020 mm, supporting parts weighing up to 2,500 kg. This acquisition marks a significant step forward in Lekoizpe’s production capabilities.

Key features of the “PUMA 5100 LYB” include:

• 24-inch chuck, with a bar capacity of 165.5 mm

• “Y” axis with 150 mm travel, allowing milling operations without part repositioning

• 12-station live turret, capable of reaching 4,000 rpm, ideal for complex and multi-tool operations

• Main spindle up to 1,500 rpm, powered by a 45/37 kW motor (30 min./cont.)

• Generous travels on X, Z, and C axes, with rapid feeds of 20 m/min in X and 18 m/min in Z, improving efficiency in long machining processes

Thanks to these specifications, the lathe enables the machining of large parts and complex geometries with high stability and repeatability—critical aspects in demanding industrial environments.
