MECÁNICA BRAÑOSERA PLANS GROWTH WITH A NEW FACTORY AND STRONGER INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE

Mecánica Brañosera (MBR), a Cantabria-based company specialising in machining and advanced manufacturing, is preparing for a new phase of industrial growth with plans for a third plant and a strategy to expand internationally in order to strengthen its competitiveness. The company, which currently operates two factories in Reinosa and Requejo and employs 49 people, is undertaking this expansion to respond to sustained growth and increasing demand for more complex projects.

The firm is already searching for industrial land for its new facility, considering several possible locations. Management has indicated that Reinosa and Aguilar de Campoo are among the options under consideration, although other alternatives are also being analysed to ensure sufficient space for capacity expansion and improved production flows. The new facility would enable the integration of new equipment and the strengthening of key areas such as large-scale machining and the manufacture of structures for strategic sectors.

MBR has a strong presence in the defence sector, which has driven its growth in recent years, and is also active in the energy sector and in high value-added industrial applications. The company views internationalisation as a natural next step in this new phase, with particular interest in Northern Europe and the Americas, where it is already identifying opportunities in projects related to precision machining and the manufacture of critical components.
