MECANIZADOS VITORIA STRENGTHENS ITS ROLE AS A STRATEGIC SUPPLIER IN ADVANCED AEROSPACE

Mecanizados Vitoria, based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, continues to consolidate its position as a key supplier of aerospace tooling for international manufacturers such as Airbus and Boeing. The company maintains steady growth driven by advanced engineering, high process quality and its involvement in strategic projects linked to the new European aviation landscape.

Although aerospace currently accounts for the majority of its activity — representing between 75% and 80% of turnover — the company is pursuing a diversification strategy towards sectors such as rail and automotive, developing special-purpose machinery and expanding its presence in new industrial markets.

One of the pillars of the business is the design and manufacture of bespoke tooling, which is essential for the assembly of critical aircraft components. In addition, Mecanizados Vitoria is part of a European consortium working on a more sustainable aircraft based on a thermoplastic fuselage and hydrogen propulsion, a long-term project with an expected operational horizon around 2035.

To address new challenges, the company is expanding its production capacity with the launch of a new facility that enables the assembly of large-scale structures. This expansion is complemented by close collaboration with vocational training centres, reinforcing its commitment to talent development and to strengthening the Basque industrial ecosystem
