MORTE CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF DELIVERING TAILORED MACHINING SOLUTIONS

27 June, 2025

After celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, Talleres Morte continues to strengthen its commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement. As part of this trajectory, the company added a new MAZAK FJV-35/60 machining center to its production facilities in 2024, enhancing machining efficiency, precision, and operational autonomy.

The MAZAK FJV-35/60, equipped with an automatic pallet loading and unloading system, allows for continuous machining operations, reduces downtime, and ensures precise clamping and positioning of each component. This investment has significantly improved Morte’s ability to respond to demanding projects, whether in large production runs or custom technical parts.

Founded in 1975 by Santos Morte in the town of Pradejón (La Rioja), the company began as a small workshop dedicated to metal part manufacturing. It soon identified a specific need in the local ceramic industry: extrusion molds that required specialized technical expertise. This specialization set the course for Morte’s development, positioning it as a leading company in the design and manufacture of extrusion solutions.

The company's technological transformation accelerated in the early 1990s with the arrival of Marcos Morte and the installation of its first CAD-CAM workstation. Since then, Morte has consistently invested in advanced tools such as CREO Parametric, POWERMILL, ANSYS, WINDCHILL, and SPYRO, enabling full integration of design, simulation, manufacturing, and project management in a digital environment.

With over half a century of history behind it, Talleres Morte has strengthened its commitment to metal-mechanical transformation and technology as the pillars of its growth. For approximately ten years, it has been successfully working with a wide range of industries requiring precision machining—such as the metal-mechanical, agri-food, recycling, railway, and wind energy sectors—while upholding the values of precision, reliability, and innovation that have defined its path since 1975.
