OTSABIO celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, following a history marked by the continuous evolution of its capabilities. Founded in 1986, the Gipuzkoa-based company has evolved from providing services to the paper industry to specialising in the manufacturing and assembly of industrial machinery and components, as well as machinery retrofitting.
The company serves sectors such as steelmaking, cutting and rolling lines, machine tools, mining, wind energy and power transmission, carrying out projects mainly in Spain, Europe and the United States.
In 2025, OTSABIO acquired OTSAMEK, a company specialising in the machining of large, high-precision components. This acquisition has enabled the company to expand its production capabilities, customer portfolio and range of solutions offered to the market.
Together, the two companies currently employ around 70 professionals, operate more than 8,000 m² of production facilities and generate a combined turnover of approximately €10 million. The group aims to continue growing, strengthen its international presence and advance the digitalisation and automation of its processes.
