ZERBIMEK AUTOMATES ITS MACHINING CENTER WITH THE INTEGRATION OF NACHI·S MZ12 ROBOT

18 July, 2025

ZERBIMEK has taken another significant step in automating its production processes by incorporating a robotic loading and unloading system into its LAGUN L850 machining center. The chosen industrial robot is the MZ12 model from NACHI, a compact and versatile unit that has been integrated in collaboration with GarantBasic technology.

This advancement is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement in the field of precision machining, enabling the optimization of existing equipment performance regardless of its age. Automating the loading and unloading process not only enhances operational efficiency but also frees up technical staff to focus on higher value-added tasks within the production chain.

The MZ12 robot stands out for its compact design—occupying 17% less space compared to equivalent models—and its technical capabilities. It features six axes of movement and a horizontal reach of up to 1,454 mm, allowing it to operate with great flexibility in confined spaces. Additionally, it offers a payload capacity of up to 10 kg and can be installed in various positions (floor-mounted, inverted, or tilted), adapting to different production environments.

Another key technical feature is its IP67 protection rating, ensuring resistance to dust and splashes and reinforcing its reliability in demanding industrial settings.

The implementation of this automated system aligns with a growing trend in advanced manufacturing, where flexible industrial robotics plays a crucial role in improving the competitiveness and sustainability of production processes.
