MEKALERUN BOOSTS ITS PRODUCTIVITY AND REACHES RECORD TURNOVER THROUGH DIGITALIZATION

Mekalerun, a company based in Elgoibar specializing in the machining of medium and large parts of up to 60 tons, has achieved a remarkable improvement in productivity after implementing an MES system for real-time monitoring. The project, supported by the Industria Digitala program of the SPRI Group, has made it possible to optimize production processes and move towards more efficient management.

According to its Managing Director, José Ramón López, this system enables timely action in the face of any deviation and allows them to “make decisions in real time.” Thanks to digitalization, Mekalerun expects to reach a record turnover of €2.3 million this year, representing double-digit growth compared to the previous fiscal year.

Founded in 2019 and part of the Maher Holding group, the company combines its expertise in large-format machining with a strong commitment to R&D and automation. With a team of 23 professionals and high-capacity machinery — including an 18-meter milling machine and a 20-meter planer — Mekalerun continues to strengthen its position in the advanced and digitalized machining sector.
